1. Eligibility Verification

  • Determine ownership: at least 50% of the U.S. business.


2. Investment Documentation


  • Proof of investment: Bank statements, financial records, and business agreements.
  • Substantial investment: Ensure investment is sufficient for business operations.


3. Business Plan


  • Detailed business plan outlining goals, operational strategies, and financial projections.
  • Demonstrate the business's potential to generate income and support the investor and family.


4. Evidence of Business Operations


  • Documentation proving the business is active and operational (e.g., contracts, lease agreements, employee records).


5. Application Forms


  • Complete Form DS-160 (Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application).
  • Complete Form DS-156E (Nonimmigrant Treaty Trader/Investor Application).


6. Visa Application Fee


  • Prepare payment for the visa application fee.


7. Supporting Documents


  • Valid passport.
  • Photos meeting U.S. visa specifications.
